whatIf? in team awarded CFI grant to develop community sustainability models

A research team comprising Royal Roads University researcher Ann Dale, whatIf? Technologies and Sustainability Solutions Group (SSG) has been awarded a major grant from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) to develop a new simulation model to help communities explore alternative scenarios and plan sustainable futures.

The tool, Resource +, will be the first community-level model to consider land, water, energy, health, economic and financial issues within an integrated framework. The model will be developed and implemented in conjunction with several communities across Canada (to be determined).
